Various Enzyme Applications

OLEOCHEMICAL & SPECIALTY FATS

Enzymatic inter-esterification between a fat and oil has
been considered as an alternative method for improving the physical properties of fats. Enzymatic processes based on the use of either sn-1, 3-specific or nonspecific lipases are advantageous because of their selectivity (generation of fewer undesired byproducts), mild reaction conditions, and ease of product recovery.

DETERGENT & HOME CARE

Detergent industries are the primary consumers of enzymes, in terms of both volume and value. The use of enzymes in detergents formulations enhances the detergents ability to remove tough stains and making the detergent environmentally safe. Nowadays, many laundry-detergent products contain cocktails of enzymes including proteases, amylases, cellulases, and lipases.

BIOENERGY

Enzymes are increasingly being used in process industries for a wide variety of products in an attempt to create a “cleaner” technology and decrease the use of harsh chemicals that are not environment friendly.

FOOD & BEVERAGES INDUSTRY

Enzymes play an essential role in bringing more nutritious and appealing food and beverage products to the modern world, and they offer significant benefits beyond the scope of traditional alternatives.  In fact, enzymes are known to have played an important part in food production since ancient times.
